Dear friends - Some of these songs are ones that I have sung in concert as I lead praise and worship, while others have simply touched my heart and spoken to me in a personal and special way. As always, I'm proud to have my daughter Jessica singing with me on several songs. She has solo parts in "Use Me" and "A Dreamer's Heart", and is also in the background on several other songs. Jess and I have performed "A Dreamer's Heart" in concert on many occasions, and while Jess's college and work don't allow her to be able to do much singing these days, we did find time to get her in the studio, praise God! Thanks to our friend Kimber Mowery, who co-wrote "A Dreamer's Heart" and "For The Lord Is Good". A big thanks also to my friend Mark Nicholson, who wrote "How Long Must They Wait?" and allowed me to record it for this album. What a message in that song! And finally, a big thank-you to the girls at Heritage Photography in Glens Falls for their photography skills.

 

Along with Jessica, you'll hear the vocal talents of Eileen Hannay, Linda Lefurgey, Sue Pidgeon, Todd Andrews and Mark Collier singing many of the background vocal parts on this album. Thanks to all of them for a great job! Some other "friends" you'll hear on this album, as on my previous CDs, are my 1973 Fender Stratocaster guitar, and my vintage Wurlitzer 200 piano and Yamaha SK-15 organ.  

 

As with my previous albums, I have included some of my original songs: "More Like Jesus" and "Jesus, We Lift You Up" are lively, uplifting praise and worship songs, and I pray that people will start singing them in churches in their praise to God. I also wrote "It's Not Goodbye", which I hope will give comfort to those grieving the loss of a loved one who has passed on.  (I'd love to hear Josh Groban sing that one!)
